Authors Collective: Elora Lee Rows

So…who is this exactly?

To answer your question, my name is Elora Lee Rows (actually, that’s my pen name). I’m a young writer who’s been writing for almost eight years. Although most people think that books are basically my life source, there are many other hobbies that bring immense joy to my life, such as aerial silks, theater, gazing at the stars on warm summer nights, and daydreaming about fairies up in the trees or whispers of magic and adventure flying through the air. But no matter what I do, I work to do it well for the Lord, especially in my writing. My dream is to become a well known author and possibly one of the youngest authors to publish a bestselling series, and to possibly change people’s lives when they read my work.

No Matter What

Not long ago, five girls made a vow to seal their friendship no matter what happened. They have been best friends ever since they were born, and they don’t care how embarrassing something appears to be as long as they are together. Their childhood magic never leaves them, no matter how old they get, and life is always a fairy tale to them.

Ever since she was five years old, Eli Pher has kept the very vow they made, and she can’t picture a life without her best friends. They’ve crowned themselves with their own elements of imagination, laughter, creativity, boldness, and emotion, and they never leave out their imaginary friend who is always by the girls’ side. But suddenly, Eli’s life begins to crumble, and she isn’t sure how she can live without the magic that always brought hope and joy into the stormy shadows.

Around the end of April, I leaned back in my chair and gazed at the screen of my computer, staring at a newly completed book. Revised, edited and ready for publication. In the beginning of May, No Matter What was released on Amazon, and I couldn’t be happier to have published my second book. If you’d like to check it out, just click on the heading above!

Okay, but why do you write?

My one wish for all my readers is that they enjoy my work. Whether it’s novels or short stories, drama or adventure, I will always be glad that I got to share my ideas with the world. Simply put, my skill level in what I do isn’t the best. But, I do know that God gave me the ability to tell stories, and my goal is to bring people to Christ through that. When I write, I feel free. I feel as though I can let go of my worries and immerse myself in other worlds and talk with my characters. My friends and family inspire these stories that refuse to leave my head, and beg to be put on paper. I’m not sure I can describe my joy for writing better than that.

For a long time, I’ve wondered what my dream was. Now that I know, I feel that God has brought me to this world not only to tell stories, but to share His word through them.

And that’s what I’ll do.

The Irish Twins Episode Ten: Hey guys, its me. The crazy 15 year old dude who is... tap dancing on the side of the road? *shakes head disapprovingly* "This monkey is still dancing and its 2026! For the love of Pete kid!" At any rate. I'm actually not on the side of the road right now. Believe it or not I'm by a cozy wood stove, sitting in front of a messy desk, listening to a writing lecture from Brett Harris, as well as the wild cries of a half dozen playful siblings waiting for the snow to...

Stories as Simulations: How Writing Lets Us Experience Alternate Realities “Reality is created by the mind, we change our reality by changing our mind.” -Plato In the quiet act of reading, something extraordinary happens. The eyes move across ink on a page and somehow the mind becomes a theater, a landscape, an entire world. We feel what isn’t happening to us. We care about people who don’t exist. We immerse ourselves in places we’ve never been, or that never could be. Stories don’t just...
